  • Am I guaranteed a spot in the competition?

            Participation in the competition is subject to availability and the selection criteria, so a spot cannot be guaranteed.

  • Do I need to bring my own apparatus?

            Yes, you will need to provide your own certified apparatus. Mx Lyra will have limited backup slings (1, 1.5 & 2m) if required.

  • How do I choose a level?

            Read through the competitor kit, taking note of the requisites and restrictions for each category. Choose the level that best suits your skillset.

  • Do I need a studio affiliation?

            Absolutely not! Independent aerialists are always welcome.

  • Can I have a human prop?

            Yes. Make sure you include the details of your human prop when you submit your registration. Please note, human props may not touch the apparatus.

  • Do I have to use the entire time allowance?

           No, although please note in the competitor kit that there is a minimum time needed for each category.

  • What is your policy on drop outs and refunds?

            Once a place in the competition has been confirmed, we are unable to offer refunds in the event of withdrawals or dropouts. This policy is in place due to the                    planning, administrative, and logistical arrangements required.

  • Do I have to use a crash mat?

           Crash mats are mandatory at all Mx Lyra events.

  • Is the event family friendly?

           Yes!!

  • Can performers bring someone backstage for support?

            Performers may have one support person backstage. Please note this is strictly limited to one person.

  • Is it just Lyra?

            Yes. Unless you are entered in the Showtime category which is open apparatus.
